Cobblemon is an open‑source Pokémon mod available for both Fabric and NeoForge.
Cobblemon aims to be a welcoming, all‑inclusive Pokémon mod that integrates far more naturally with Minecraft and modpacks than other Pokémon mods. Our source code is fully open, encouraging community contributions and allowing free forking.
Features (So Far!)
Catch Pokémon to build your team, battle wild Pokémon to earn experience, level up to unlock new moves, and evolve your Pokémon. Over 700 Pokémon are available to catch!
Built upon the Pokémon Showdown! battle engine, delivering precise and competitive battle mechanics.
It adopts mechanics inspired byPokémon Legends: Arceus, including move relearning, voluntary in‑battle retreats, and player‑timed Pokémon evolution.
Free movement mode during battles is supported. You can build, mine, or fight other mobs while your Pokémon battles!
Use the Pokédex to record every Pokémon you encounter and catch. It also features a scanning function to analyze wild Pokémon!
Ride your Pokémon to explore the Minecraft world in unique ways!
Trade and battle with friends in multiplayer mode.
Use pastures to let your Pokémon roam freely anywhere in your world!
Berries can be found naturally in the wild or grown on farmland. They can be used as compost for buffs and cross‑bred to create new mutated berry varieties.
Potions can be crafted by brewing crops and berries in a brewing stand, granting enhanced healing effects!
Discover explorable ancient structures across the world. Some feature gilded chests with valuable loot and exciting surprises!
Dig suspicious gravel and sand in specific locations to obtain fossils, then revive them into ancient Pokémon using a fossil revival machine.
All Pokémon from Generations 1 through 9 can spawn and participate in battles. Unmodeled Pokémon will temporarily appear as placeholder dolls.
Supports popular biome mods including Terralith, Oh The Biomes You’ll Go, and William Wythers’ Overhauled Overworld, with more mod compatibility being added continuously!
Fully supports custom variants and fan‑made Pokémon through datapacks and resource packs. Learn how via our official guides!
Cobbled Farms — an official tutorial world created by our team — interactively teaches players all of the mod’s core features, and is included in our official modpack.

Alternatively, download the official Cobblemon modpack directly from Modrinth or CurseForge. The Modrinth App is recommended, while Prism Launcher also works perfectly for running these modpacks.

No official public servers are hosted by the Cobblemon team. You can find community public servers via our official website or the
#server-listings channel on Discord to add to your multiplayer list. You may also host your own server through providers such as BisectHosting.Cobblemon is actively under continuous development. Many features are work‑in‑progress placeholders and will be polished and optimized in future updates. Upcoming content includes NPCs, expanded Pokémon riding mechanics, breeding systems, and new world structures.
